The reality is that there are not many buyers for the 996. I get where you are coming from but the market dictates the price. And that said I think your starting bid is wishful thinking at best. I sincerely hope I am full of carp and you sell for what you want. But an auction where you start at asking price is not going to end well. Again I might be full of it...
I would start the auction at $1 with a reserve at a price you can best tolerate. Let the bidders take it from there. That's the fun of it all.
