Mike, I think Glyco has gotten a bad name for other reasons. We have used Glyco bearings in all of the engines we have built with the exception of customers supplying their own bearings. IE. Clevite, Jerry Woods. We have never once had an issue with them. (25+ years) I had a long conversation with Wrightwood Racing on this very issue. For you, and for my own curiosity I will use Plastigauge on the bearings and check. I usually verify part numbers and stampings, assemble, and see how the "feel" is. I'll go a step further for you.
Building these engines is not an easy task as you know. The sheer parts count is astounding!
