When I first moved to OKC I had to go through get a new tag and get a Oklahoma driver's license fiasco. I went to a local tag agency that the people at work pointed out to me. It was close to work so off I went.
I am pretty sure every single employee was smoking and I think all the customers were as well. The place was worse than a night club in the 1960s for smoke. I moved here from Alabama and that was a non title state back then. So first think she asks for my title and I said there is no title, just a bill of sale. You would have thought I yelled profanity. The place went quiet and they all looked and me like I was thief with no title. I told them Alabama did not issue titles. She got out a huge book and looked it up. She was astonished that I was right. Of course that just meant I had to pay for a new title and registration. It took forever and I was about to choke from all the the smoke.
The driver's license was another stop. I had to take the written test, and a State Trooper was supposed to give me a driving test. We walked to the parking lot and he looked at me, he looked at the 914 and he asked how long I have owned it. I said 4 years, and he muttered to himself "this is stupid" and he signed off on my driving test without getting in the car.
