Alum 426 block ? Expect to pay 7500 plus for the empty block.
His Hemi will have a very mild Hydraulic cam, electronic ignition and a single four barrel carb. It will be a LOT more street friendly than original 426 and wont require the valves to be adjusted like the old ones. They switched to Hyd cams in 70 and 71
Also the dual fours are a little tricky on the old ones so keeping them in tune is a pain but worth the hassle. You might want to mention to him though to consider the cam specs when he picks his torque converter unless he's going standard. He will probably want something a little looser than a stock converter
