Most people building a "regular power" engine simply replace the dilivars only. The steel ones aren't really damaged by age (unless heavily corroded for some reason) - only damaged from past over-torquing, which is highly unlikely.

If you are interested in looking into buying "not-new" steel studs, members here, like cgarr and flat six pack(Bruce) usually have them on hand.
