Porsche 911 build in 1964

edit: sorry I was talking about the engine, not the car. But I canīt edit the titel anymore

Good morning,

my name is Ingo from Germany. I read here at pelican since years and often found answers for questions I didnīt even asked myself.
I have 2 911īs. One is a 1973, but G series that was converted to a F outlaw. The other one is a very special Karmann 911.

However, I just registerd here a couple of minutes ago to start my first post:

I have a 911 engine with the build number 406. This should be build october or november 1964. The engine is complete, but with weber and not Solex Carbs. It is installed in my 1968, but never ran. Now I think about selling the engine to fund the matching number engine for the car which looks to be found in Japan. (not 100% confirmed yet) The prices is way to expensive, but it is the matching number engine. Porsche itself wants to buy the 1968, but the price they offer is much higher with the correct engine. I am in contact with them since 2 years, but since the VW problems they are not buying as much collector cars anymore.

So back to the reason starting this thread. Any ideas what this engine is worth?

Thank you very much!!!
