I'm currently at Lake Tulloch, just east of Oakdale, CA for the next two weeks when I will then depart for the Resort at Squaw Creek for the PCA Treffen, Sep 6 - 10. Looking at Google maps, they want me to go back west and take Rt 99 north, then catch I-80 east to Rt 89 and south to the Resort. But there are some other "interesting" looking roads that one might take from here including Rt 108 east to 395 and then north to Lake Tahoe or Rts 4, 88 or 50 all going east across the Sierra Nevadas north of here.

Anyone familiar with these routes and might suggest a nice road for us to take in the 997 Turbo S? TIA
