I needed some AAA batteries, so I ran out this morning to the local Rite-Aid. I got there just as they opened. I was the only one in the store, so I got what I needed and headed straight to the checkout where a cute young woman was waiting.

She rang up my batteries and saw that I had my credit card with chip in hand. She tapped a couple of things on her register screen and then said, "OK. I am ready for you to stick it in now".

It took less than a half second until she realized what she had said and then turned bright red. I tried to stifle my reaction, but could not and a laugh came out. I told her not to worry as I have been married a long time and am used to getting instructions. She had a good laugh at that. Hopefully this was a good start to her day.
