Regarding the switch back to single cam eludes me as well. They must have addressed in some way the pushrod geometry issue with the new 4 valve setup. 1 thing some of you may not be aware of is the amount of noise an air cooled ( even partial) engine makes which contributes to the total amount of noise generated...............EPA has a limit on this. Now the exhaust note is the obvious major part of this but as the standards tighten manufactures have to be creative to address ALL the noise.

Reducing the number of moving parts also reduces noise, cost, money. The question is then is the new engine better all around as they say
