The vehicle, if sold as "Salvage", will come with a salvage title. If it is from out of state, first get a salvage title from your state. Then do the repairs to make it street legal. Keep all parts and labor records. Your state should have forms and a process to get it inspected so that you can get a "Rebuilt" title. I have done this 4 times. Now, if the car came with a "Scrap" or Parts-only title, you are SOL for street use.
