Okay...The seat back cover fell off the new Cayenne.



It would be easy to glue the one top clip holder that came unglued, but the two bottom clips are broken so the clip part that holds the seat is GONE. That's probably why the top one came unglued and the seat cover fell off.

Cannot get the bottom clips from Porsche or anywhere else, they are part of the seat back. Which is $300 from Porsche. Salvage yards only sell the entire seat for $600.

So am using some scrap thin sheet metal and making a T shape to screw onto the top of the two blocks on the base of the clip that is left with a tongue bent as shown to replace the plastic clip part that broke off. It should clip over the tabs to hold the bottom of the cover same as the plastic clips.

Coming unglued seems to be a feature on the 2008 and older in hotter climates.
