When I was apprenticing, I left a 32 oz ball peen hammer on top of a 14 foot ladder. It caught me over and under my left eye. Had some bone chips from the impact and my eye had closed from the swelling almost immediately.
Looked like hell for a while. I think this story is in the "admit your stupidity" thread somewhere...
Those pools are dangerous. Got kicked in the goody bag at one of my son's birthday parties by one of the kids coming off the waterslide.... Great googly moogly that hurt like a mudder.....
