They drink to forget. Sometimes they forget to drink.
Here in New Zealand there has been a huge rise in drinking driving offenses in the females 50 years plus category. Women going out and getting sloshed with their buddies. They tend to be middle class/upper middle class and have the attitude "Me drunk?, I beg your pardon! I'm a lady."
