duplicate steel ignition key made
Restoring a 1983 944. I have a generic brass ignition key and I have a factory correct key blank with the round Porsche head. No one in San Diego will cut the key because it's steel. All their newer key duping machines are for cutting newer, softer brass keys and the steel will ruin their cutting wheel. Not Home Depot, not Lowes, not any brick and mortar mom and pop shop. A dupe key from the dealership is over $70. Any "for sure" leads? This is turning out to be a real time sponge.
