Im looking for a consensus if one was to accidentally use Hypoid Gear Oil to top up a 3.4 motor would it do damage? were talking about one litre (1/4 galllon)
the engine pressure SEEMS to be the same and the oil needle still fluctuates with revs.
Is it safe to continue driving or should i drain and refill the lot?

engine viscosity i had in i think was about 10W 40
The Hypoid oil is 80W 90
