We do our mapping in US feet as a default. Some customers want it in meters. It is just a button click so no big deal for us. If we assume it is in feet and it is actually meters it may well show up out in the ocean. It is a shame the rest of the world does not do it in a nice logical system like imperial. Who wants something logical and easy like a base 10 measurement system.
