Hello,
While sorting all the issues on my new toy prior to try to restart it, I came across a stuck turbo.
While this is a bit annoying, it was prédictible knowing the story of the car...
The actual setup is interesting but only small clues are left to identify this beast.
Time for pictures:
What I could see:
- Air Research/Garrett casting marks on compressor side (M12, M10)
- Ground brand marks on compressor (looks to be Garrett)
- Oil inlet restrictor (BB?)
- No watercooling provisions
- Twin scroll hot side
- .55 mark in compressor housing (AR?)
Turbo was not fully hooked up, oil feed line and compressor housing were full of water.
What do you guys think I should go for replacement?
