I started out the morning driving up to South San Francisco to drop off round two of the powder coating goodies. I got a much later start today then I wanted to but....OHWELL.

Mike, Plastigage was used this morning to check rod bearing clearances. 002" Very uniform crush all the way across.

As a general rule, I always keep all of the rod number stamps facing up. An old habit from my old VW days. These rods are semetrical and it does not really matter which way they go. Type one VW rods are asemetrical and they DO matter which way they are assembled.
