I don't think anyone considered his using "azz" to avoid the profanity checker was the "irony" or "self-denial "resulting in such derision. Taking the cheap shot against folks they apparently felt they lost a prior, unrelated argument to in a thread designed to mock those who cannot "lose" an argument in PPOT was the irony.

Quoting his trademarked word "azz" simply developed the character involved a bit more by using his actual words (and of course, as you pointed out...shows his clear intent to break forum rules...just to take that shot).
