It's the little things in life...
Sometimes, the smallest things can just make your day.
I bought a used iphone. I'm a cheap bastage. Sue me.
Unfortunately, since day one of ownership, I've had trouble getting the charging cable seated properly. I tried everything to clean the socket - contact cleaner, contact grease, compressed air, a toothpick, new cables... I just figured the socket was roached and eventually, I'd need a new phone.
On a whim, after an especially trying session of trying to get the charge cable seated, I checked the internet, and someone recommended a paper clip to fish out pocket lint. I was always leery of this, 'cause I didn't want to damage fragile electrical contacts.
But, I figured, what the hell, I grabbed a clip and started rooting around like a pig after a truffle. Lo and behold, I pulled out enough lint to weave an indian blanket.
Thing works perfectly. I saved 600 bucks! Two minutes work.
It makes for a satisfying day, for some reason!
(Edit:Plus, the Broncos are stomping the Ragin' Cajun's right now! - Yay!)
