Cant really help with the comparison...
I went from a stock 1987 3.2 to a 1990 3.8 964 and the 964 is WAAAAY faster.
I would think you need to get to a Dyno and see wots up. Sure the weight will be an issue but you should not be disappointed by the 3.6...
