My guess is you'd have to know the owner to understand. Could be for promotional purposes, could be simply cause they don't have to show how awesome their car is with it being pristine, they may just have a great sense of humor/lack of giva-fuchs. Or maybe just to cheese the purists off.
One thing i do know, it's not about the $ ..........or is it.
