Keep an eye on the forums, at this point most of the good older cars are probably in the hands of enthusiasts. I'm sure there are a few Craigslist unicorns out there but probably a higher preponderance of crap than anything else. You can still get a really nice classic Saab for not much money.
Btw, the 9000 Aero is a great car but stay away from any of them equipped with TCS. It is an antiquated first attempt at traction control that can disable your car and is very difficult to fix.
