How about the fact that the NYC DOT removed pedestrian islands on Eastern Parkway that they just installed under a year ago which was ordered by May De ******* so the party goers would be safe. The community fought for years to get these islands. I saw them breaking up the islands with a backhoe with a breaker attachment at 5:30 AM a week before the parade. It cost 40k to remove them and they do not know yet what to put back.

The mayor just appeases groups for votes.

The shootings happen every year. The population who attend have a terrible problems with ruthless gangs.
