Well, just made it back to Texas from a 16 day 2k mile loop through Tenn, North Carolina and Georgia without a hic-up. Although my overall mpg was around 18 - 21 mpg (A/C usually on), there were times when coming off the top of some of those Smokey Mt grades that I'm sure Miss Purdy was getting well over 100 mpg with the brakes applied. I don't know what it takes for the Hwy Patrol to pull anyone over anymore because most of the time the herd I was traveling amongst stayed around the 85 mph mark.
One thing for sure - even with only the std HP our 928's can easily keep up on the highway with any Vette in the crowd. In fact Miss Purdy did so well on the return trip - that I may have to change her name to "Long Legs La Rue"......
