Final test fitment of the epoxy primer'd fiberglass 911R fenders. The inside of the fenders have already been painted satin black like a 911R. Note the very subtle R detail at the lower fender behind wheel opening where it meets the rocker panel; [a few 911Rs had this overlap detail in the fiberglass] I did my Stinger 912R build like 911R # 015
The panel gaps are 3mm, and the edge of the fiberglass here has been built up enough to have the thickness of the steel fenders flange which looks nice.
There is another world-record breaking 911R rocker detail at the jack point [simply that there was no lead used here to smooth the panel] this saves about 200 grams total both sides just in this location.
Suspension parts are blasted and ready for epoxy primer then 3 coats of gloss black urethane. Original steel bumpers will need metal smoothed and pitted areas cut away and replaced prior to epoxy.
Fat Performance Engine will displace 2.5L, and be completely balanced and blueprinted.
