I've done it. It's a long arduous task but it can be done. You just have to methodically pull everything apart while labeling, photographing and documenting everything as you go. I spent about 3 months of weekends doing it but I'm slow.
If you pull the affected harnesses and send them to timmy2 he can repair or replace them like new. He does great work.
