3D printed door speaker brackets/enclosures

I’ve recently installed an amp and subwoofer underneath my front seats, and figured while I had the door cards out to R&R the door latch mechanisms and power locks, it was a good time to upgrade the door speakers as well.

I looked around for a good speaker enclosure – the ones I currently have are cracked and don’t provide any sort of water protection. I couldn’t find anything – maybe I wasn’t looking for the right thing. Anyway, we have a 3D printer at work, so I figured I’d design and print my own.

After many, many iterations, this is the final product.

I did it in two halves due to the way that 3D printers work. If I tried to do it in one piece it would have required lots and lots of 'scaffolding' which I wasn't keen on trying to clean out. This also gave me some adjustability in depth and how the holes line up.
