Yecch. Did this somewhat recently. Axle out. Make sure to brake kleen the bolts and go at them super square with a quality socket. You don't want to round one of the outside bolts out, ever. Parts washer helps but disassembly and repack is a filthy job. Latex gloves etc, Doctor.
And you know this, but recheck bolts after 50-100 miles.
