Of course there are exceptions for genetically muscular and athletic individuals, but those lucky few are few and far between. Those who've put on 30 plus pounds of mucsle weight through weight lifting and steriods are showing up with a whole different set of life shortening health issues.
I agree BMI standards are light, but people who are overweight know when they're overweight, and its highly likely to shorten thier life. Its a medical fact well substantiated.
