Dropped in on engineering shop yesterday, no problem duplicating the thread, will be made in forged steel, spare time job, so will pick it up in a couple of weeks.
Strength will not be an issue, he makes half shafts for drag cars ( Have these in my 928,only cost $300 more than standard street use version, they will still be there, looking new when the car is a heap of ferrous oxide and alloy scrap)
Problem with just buying the one you posted, Australian dollar is worth about two flat rocks, so $100 US becomes about $140. postage will get it past $170, Custom made one will cost about $100 Aust.
