I was trying to get home from work in my old '97 in heavy rains and flooding once. My normal route home was blocked so I tried an alternate. I got a long way through the water until I got to a point where I thought it might be too deep, so I pulled to the center (turn lane) and watched some other stuff go through. As I was sitting there watching, as trucks and other cars came through and caused a wake, I could feel the back of my miata float off of the ground and then the rear tires touch back down after the wave went past. I decided to give it a pass and backed up into a parking lot.
