It depends what you want a compressor for - inflating balls and bike tires or something more.

I have a Rollair "Bull" I was looking the the most capable compressor that ran on 110V. This does what I want. I can use a ratchet, die grinder or impact tools.

However, with the newer electric impact tools, I probably rethink compressor needs.

There is a HF near where I live. There are allot of day laborers that buy tools there. I have bought items there but for impact sockets, wrenches etc, I buy off eBay and look for used Snap-on/ Mac or Matco items. and yes, there sale items can be a bargain.
