Pepper Update.

Pepper greeted me this morning by saying "Good Morning." Then said, "I want out."

Went to let her back in and noticed it was not only grey out, but is sprinkling.
When Pepper comes in she sits and says, "Hello."
Have been working on this for greeting so she doesn't go so puppy nutso around new people.

This morning she sat and said hello, then instead of bounding off to get a drink of water as usual held her paw out like to shake.
Grabbed the towel I keep next to the back door and said, "Let's wipe her feet."
With lots of "Good Girl"s She presented each of her front paws, then stood up, turned around and let me wipe off her rear paws as well. Then dried her off, the part she really likes.

Had to give her a treat for being such a good dog this morning.

Instead of carrying treats around after she does several things correctly I tell her she was a good girl and deserves a treat and we go to the kitchen to her treat bowl. She prances all the way there, happy as a lark. When I get a treat out of the bowl I say do you want it. She answers saying, "I want it."

When I fill her water bowl while I'm standing at the sink with her bowl filling I ask her if she wants a drink of water, and have got her saying, "Drink of water." Twice now she has come to me and said, "Drink of water" when her water bowl is empty.

So happy that Pepper hasn't discovered the toilet has water in it. Neighbor told me his Dalmatian, Dotty drinks out of the toilet in their guest bathroom. Said they tried to stop her from doing it but just gave up and keep the guest bathroom toilet clean as her water bowl. Said it's kind of embarrassing to ask guests to use the toilet in their master bedroom because the toilet in the guest bathroom is the dogs water bowl.
