Whatever she gets I know she will take care of it. My son? eh. He wants to be a hillbilly so I would imagine he will want some sort of pickup which is fine as long as it's safe.
I can bet you dollars to donuts it will NOT be washed very often. He just doesn't get the car guy thing.
Either way, even 10 year old vehicles are better than the ones we had to select from when I started driving. Around here, $2000 will get you a decent Domestic that might just need a little work.
