Let's see, didn't really care if I even had a car. Hung with friends that always wanted to drive their hot rods anyway.

Got the Ford Station wagon for $1.00 plus fixing the transmission and liked it cause I could haul my lawn mowing stuff in it and pull our trailer. And was a great party wagon for me and all my friends. Including the ones with hot rods.

Then decided I wanted a car instead of just the old ratty wagon and got the 71 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus for $1400. One of my Mom's friends heard about me looking for a car and a couple of months after I got the Satellite was offered her older daughters 71 Audi 100LS in really great shape for $1000. Went ahead and bought it because it was just such a good deal!

Since I had 3 cars, the wagon, the Satellite, and the Audi my Dad asked if I would give my oldest brother the wagon because his van died and he didn't have a car. (He still has the van and it still doesn't run). Decided he could have my $1.00 wagon. Had most of my yards well under control and could put my mower and edger in the trunks of either the Satellite or the Audi just as easily as the wagon.

The next summer I got more yards and was really getting tired of loading and unloading the lawn stuff so found a 64 Ford Econoline van for $400, and I got him to throw in a set of nearly new tires I put on the Audi. The van didn't have any back seats so could just use it like a mobile shed for all my lawn equipment.

So basically had a hot rod/sports car, 4 door sedan/date car, and work truck/van. Drove whichever depending on what I was doing and whom I was doing it with. Some people never saw me in anything but the Satellite, some the Audi, and almost nobody even knew I had the van. Even my roommate at college who's parents lived 2 blocks away from my parents was surprised as heck when I showed up in my van to load up our stuff to move to college. He had told me he couldn't fit everything in his car and wondered if I had some room left in mine so he only had to make one trip. Told him no problem.
