The claims were um..dubious..at best..but VW/Porsche settled with Tatra after the war.
There were a ton of ingenious shade-tree back-yard ideas implemented back then.
Literally thousands of independent auto manufactures in fact.
No good deed goes unpunished.
Just look at what happened to Tucker Auto after he helped with the war effort.
