I have seen a marked increase in the number of distarcted drivers running though stop signs, and plowing into another car at speed. This very thing happened to me 4 years ago while driving my Porsche 944 just a mile North of my house. Some idiot (probably on drugs looking at his record) flew through a stop sign and hit me in the passenger LF wheel. We came together so hard, that his cell phone was in my car through both closed windows. After 17 broken bones and 6 months of learning to walk again, I find myself paying even more attention to other drivers, because they sure aren't.
