Years ago, I received a phone call asking if I would participate in a survey. The female caller was very nice and quick to laugh. She began by asking some background questions to fit me into the proper demographic. When she asked my age, I responded, "46." She then got kind of a sheepish tone and said that I was too old for the survey. The sponsors only wanted people 18-45. It didn't matter that I was only two months into my 46th year, she didn't want my input.
I think this is the same for Acura. Drivers beyond 45 are not in their marketing demographic. It wasn't your son's choice, really. This likely explains why we "elders" don't see things like GPS, Bluetooth, or rear cameras as items related to performance cars.
