Hey guys,
I know many of you are veterans, active and military supporters. I wanted to pass onto you some sad news.
Two days ago, we lost a U-2 out of Beale AFB. The crew was doing some training at a designated training area when for reasons unknown and under investigation, experienced some form of inflight emergency requiring both crew members to eject. One of the two pilots was killed in the incident. The pilot that was lost was my brother's supervisor in charge of flight scheduling. His call sign was "Shooter" and was a really good guy. Strong family values and was liked by all.
The Squadron did a chalk art tribute to their fallen comrade. The nose art was actually flown on a recent mission.
