Peter and I managed to get the engine reinstalled with everything connected in record time on Sunday! It only took us 2 hours from start to finish to get everything set up. I ended up having to cut about 1/2 in off the the pedal side of the new clutch cable and about 1/4 in off of the transmission side to clear the oil tube after the adjustment was set. The cable I ordered from our host (Gemo cable) was almost 3/4 in longer than the old cable that was in the car. Has anybody else had a similar problem? I wonder if the Porsche replacement cable ($50) is the correct length? The Gemo cable ($12) is certainly a steal and didn't mind saving $38 by using my cutoff wheel a little ;-)
