Yes, I'm VERY familiar with these engines, the LIM gaskets do have a leaking issue, usually last to about 60k then begin seeping. Valve cover gaskets as well, but these are very minor fixes and low dollar compared to things like the timing chains that lunched on my 540, which I helped a buddy mechanic do it for 2500 cash...

My first "fast" car was a '98 Regal GS, much better build quality than this Lucerne...that bad boy had the Eaton blown 3.8. I had it modded to run with/past C5 vettes, cruised it around on Sat nights with Hoosier-daddies on the front. What a hoot! That car surprised countless ...

Got the little bro to help out with any potential back injurious points of work.
