choosing to be a long distance from the ocean?
that would be a mistake imho.
the coastal lifestyle cannot be beat.
we just finished up with with two years of living on the other side of the coastal range. couldn't move back fast enough.
my vote goes to the Bellingham area. bit of a laid back vibe, reasonable housing costs, close proximity to Vancouver and Seattle.
