The extra space that the GT flares give you might make it work. I'm not sure, frankly.

If you don't want to go with the 914-6 tank, you can use a standard cylindrical tank mounted in one of the trunks. I have also seen a rectangular tank mounted in place of the battery, which was relocated to one trunk or the other.
