No matter what the wind and rain amounts are, it will mean different things to different people depending entirely on their particular situation. Those with a lot of exposure have greater potential for damage.
I'm 2 blocks from the Atlantic and 1 block from the Intercoastal Waterway 1 story block home built in '62 and I'm sitting up high and dry on a natural dune ridge. I'm very confident I will be fine.
But......there are homes within' a block radius who (because of their particulars) have a higher level of exposure.
We'll see what happens but I'm not that worried right now.

I would be very worried on any barrier island in or near the path of a cat 4
depending on the angle of approach and tide timing you could be under water
20 ft over high tide is possible
why not jump over to the west coast now while you can
