It seems the most common component that indicates a dropped platform is DDR2 boxes although there are a couple of DDR2 laptops still compatible.
Curious.
Me thinks they are trying to faze out some of that older hardware that they simply overbuilt and a lot of us are still using because they work so well there is no need to upgrade.
