I see that same thing happen with workers here. Do the minimum work to get a paycheck and out the door. The bottom line price seems to be what so many Wal Mart shoppers care about over anything else.
It seems to permeate a lot American workers.
It is amazing to me that a Bridgeport made in the 40s is more valued for the quality of the machine itself than some state of the art new one. My wife loves antiques (that is why she loves me) and we have some pieces of furniture that were made in the era of real pure craftsmanship.
