Looking back at the BaT auction for the high price on the Targa - the high price makes sense.
The white Targa was a specific model that someone had a sentimental attachment to and wanted to replace that feeling in their life.
It was an ideal transaction for the seller. He couldn't have found a better buyer. Someone who 1) knew what they wanted, and 2) had the money and most importantly 3) the wife's permission (as she was gonna drive it).
If I were the seller of that white Targa I would be very happy.
Sorry to say that not all white Targas in that condition and that mileage are worth that, now that the buyer is out of the market looking for one.
