Hi all,

I figured that while I am replacing transmission mounts I might as well replace the shocks and struts. I was hoping to get some advice from the forum as to what shocks and struts are best to use. The current set up is KYB all around and they are quite harsh. I have no idea how long they have been on the car but could certainly be decades. I have used Bilsteins for several cars and have been quite happy with them. I am hoping to do this without breaking the bank so I have been considering using the cheaper Boge strut inserts and possibly the rear shocks as well but they appear to be currently unavailable.

In terms of the rear shocks for my car it looks like the only ones Pelican carries are these

Here is a link to the Boge rear shocks that are currently unavailable

For the front strut housing I have the upgraded wedge pin type Boge struts. Can somebody remind me of the model year this switch took place? I can't remember if it was 72 or 74. I know that you can get Bilstein inserts that fit the Boge strut. I am interested to hear what people have to say about the two struts I have linked below:

Front Gas Boge/Sachs Shock Absorber 91134191304 - Sachs - Porsche - 911-341-913-04 | Pelican Parts

Thank you in advance for all of the advice
