For me, the "worst" part was the physical/mental breaking of Rick's spirit -- of course, through the means employed for such a thing. Gotta look deeper into the graphic portrayal, and imagine yourself in Rick's shoes....

As a continuation of putting yourself in Rick's shoes, I'd have to say that the goal of the creators was to induce and intense anxiety reaction, which it certainly did for me. I rarely experience anxiety at all. For me, it wasn't how graphic it was portrayed... it was the though of someone being broken in such a manner.
I hope Negan gets to look at the flowers. Sooner, rather than later.
